We had a glorious musical experience at Sister Act which runs at The Theatre at Solaire until July 9!
Based on the hit 1992 film of the same title, Sister Act tells the story of a singer named Deloris Van Cartier who hides in a convent after witnessing a murder. Now disguised as a nun, she finds herself at odds with both the rigid lifestyle and an uptight Mother Superior.
Deloris breathes new life into the church through her superb singing and fab disco vibe. She helps the other sisters to discover their voices and rediscover her own!
The musical was produced by the original Sister Act star Whoopi Goldberg, TROIKA Entertainment, and Sister Act On Tour. It received five Tony nominations in 2011 including Best Musical, Best Original Score, and Best Book of A Musical.
We definitely loved the glittering costumes and the groovy tunes from award-winning composer Alan Menken! The wholesome message makes it a family friendly musical all the way!
We were also dazzled by the stage design especially this shiny depiction of Mama Mary.
Discover sisterhood like never before and prepare for a "nun"-stop groovy party for all ages! This feel-good musical will run until July 9 only so don't miss it!
