How would you feel if you read mean things about yourself online? Well, it's just something that Ed Sheeran doesn't want to do anymore. In fact, the singer-songwriter is so done with all the hate on Twitter.
Though his Instagram posts will automatically upload on his Twitter, Ed told The Sun that he won't be checking the account anymore. "There's nothing but people saying mean things," he said. "One comment ruins your day. But that's why I've come off it. The head-f**k for me has been trying to work out why people dislike me so much."
The "Shape of You" hitmaker cited the time when Little Monsters came after him as an example. "Lady Gaga's fanbase read an interview in which they assumed I was talking about her and they all f**king hate. And it wasn't anything to do with that at all," he explained. "So I think Twitter gets on a massive steam roll of assuming things and then you get in the shit."
Mother Monster however called out to fans on Instagram and encouraged online users to build an applauding community instead of hating on everybody.
The caption reads, "What an incredible talented artist I LOVE ED @edsheeran deserves all our love and respect like all humans do. I wish all people on the internet would be positive and loving and apart of creating an online community that is kind and empowering, not hateful and mean."
