Korean actor Kim Woo Bin was diagnosed with nasopharyngeal cancer last May. According to his agency, he has now successfully undergone first round of chemotherapy and has slightly improved his condition.
"He's recovered enough to be able to exercise. Once we see the results [of the first round of chemotherapy] in mid August, we should be able to relay more about future plans and whether there will be a second round of treatment," label SidusHQ told Sports Kyunghyang during a phone interview (via Soompi).
Woo Bin's rep expressed confidence on the treatment's outcome. "Pharmaceuticals have advance a lot lately, and Kim Woo Bin hasn't lost any hair or experienced many drastic changes in physical appearance as a result of the chemotherapy," they said. "The only thing is, he has lost roughly 10 kilograms of weight. He is currently maintaining a body weight in the low 60-kilogram range."
Production of the Hallyu star's movie Wiretap has been recently put on hold following Woo Bin's illness confirmation. Kim Woo Bin was credited for his roles in K-dramas The Heirs and Uncontrollably Fond.
