MANILA, Philippines -- Filipino-American singer Cheesa Laureta, who was a contestant at the most recent season of "The Voice," is now in Manila for a series of shows.
"It feels great. And my wish during the show was to come back and to feel that sense of coming home," she said in an interview upon her arrival at Ninoy Aquino International Airport.
Aside from doing shows for her Pinoy fans, Laureta is also excited to collaborate with international singing sensation Charice.
"I'm gonna do a couple of shootings here but I can't give details yet. But everybody look out for that, it is exciting. I am excited," said the singer who will be staying in Manila for only a week.
Laureta said she's also looking forward to spend some time with her relatives.
Proud of Jessica
In the interview, Laureta also said she's proud of "American Idol" runner up Jessica Sanchez,.
Laureta said Sanchez is doing great as an artist and she's just there to support her fellow Pinay.
"'American Idol' was a big platform for her she's a great artist, so talented. More pride for her, more love and I support her all the way," Laureta said.
