American boy band 98 Degrees announced they were performing again together, hinting that they may reunite for good.
Reuters.com reports that brothers Nick and Drew Lachey, Justin Jeffre and recent Manila visitor Jeff Timmons are slated to perform at the Summer Mixtape Festival in Hershey, Pennsylvania, on August 18.
In an interview with Ryan Seacrest on his radio show, Nick Lachey said they missed the rush of being on stage and performing together. "Certainly the fans have been clamoring for it, so it just felt right," added Lachey.
98 Degrees broke out into the scene back in 1997 and were responsible for the love songs "Invisible Man", I Do (Cherish You), "Because Of You" and "The Hardest Thing".
There have been fan speculations of a reunion but Lachey says it would have to be within the parameters of their current personal situations.
"Most of us have families or kids on the way, so it really is about making sure that everybody can take care of their own responsibilities at home, and with their family, and with their private lives", affirms Lachey.
Boy bands are steadily invading the music scene once again with new British groups One Direction and The Wanted plus the reuniting of the Backstreet Boys and New Kids on the Block.
