Rapper 50 Cent, who's real name is Curtis James Jackson III, was injured in a car mishap Tuesday morning, New York time. A publicist representing the artist says he is now out of the hospital. Jackson had minor injuries to his neck and back.

In a blog entry on his official website thisis50.com
, photos of the rapper on a stretcher and his damaged vehicle were posted. It also stated that: "50 Cent was in a bad accident tonight as his bullet-proof SUV was rear-ended by a Mack truck on the LIE in NYC".
"He was released this morning and is doing fine," says the rapper's spokesman Keesha Johnson.

50 Cent sent us singing "Go shorty, It's your birthday!" back in 2003 via his hit "In da Club" from his debut album "Get Rich Or Die Tryin'". His hip-hop success came a year after his rhymes caught the ears of Eminem and Dr.Dre.
