Billy Corgan and the new members of the Smashing Pumpkins are out with a brand new album called "Oceania". This is actually part of the band's concept album "Teargarden by Kaleidyscope" which will contain 44 songs! So as part of that project, " Oceania" was released last June 19. It debuted at #4 on the Billboard 200.
Corgan says the band was set to "make a really great album or we'd have to blow this business up." He believes the musical environment is not that gratifying to make records nowadays. "But if you believe you can make strong band music, then it trumps all other arguments, even sales", the band's frontman exclaimed. "So either get out of the business or do something", he added.
