Pinoy independent band Circa reaches a milestone in their young music careers as they debut on the Pinoy MYX countdown. The video for their song "Huling Pag-ibig" enters at no.19 this week!
Just 3 weeks ago, the band was supported by OPM rock heavyweights Sponge Cola, Tanya Markova, Mayonnaise and Join the Club during their video launch at the 70s Bistro. It's not that hard to become fond of Circa if these established acts are also rooting for them.
The music video features the band in super slow motion which according to them, depicts the song's message of keeping a steady pace in handling a romantic relationship. "It's not wrong to love somebody or to give that affection to your special someone pero you have to take it one step at a time," says singer Em Tolentino in an interview. "Kasi in the end ...baka sa sobrang pagmamahal eh di mo na rin kayang mahalin ang sarili mo," added Tolentino. It's indeed another song for the damned and the heartbroken. Vote for it online on MYXPH.COM and help the band climb the charts.
Circa (defined as "certain point in time") has undergone line-up changes but is now on a steady rise with current members Em on vocals, Sam Salantes and Arkho Andalis on guitars, Dev Dayanghirang on bass and Rey Olarte on drums. It's about time that Circa brings their brand of rock to a wider audience. Like them on Facebook at: http://www.facebook.com/Circabanda; and follow them on twitter at: http://twitter.com/circabanda .
