Former Guns N' Roses lead guitarist Slash now has a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. The British-American rock and roll Hall of Famer, whose real name is Saul Hudson, was honored in Los Angeles where he played his first few gigs with G N' R on it's Sunset Strip. He became a rock icon with his signature guitar licks, top hat, curly hair and aviator shades. "I've been a part of the Hollywood fabric for a long time and to actually be appreciated by the city of Hollywood is a huge, huge honor," Slash said during the ceremony.

Among those who were present in the unveiling of Slash's star was his good friend actor Charlie Sheen. Sheen made fun of G N' R singer Axl Rose during his speech saying: "It's quite fitting I think that Slash is getting a star on the very street that Axl Rose will one day be sleeping on."

Slash has teamed up with other musicians on his journey after Guns N' Roses. He is part of super band Velvet Revolver and released a solo album two years ago with various artists. His latest release "Apocalyptic Love" is now no.4 on Billboard's charts.
