Watching a gig of a "White Guy With Guitar" is more fun in the Philippines! David Cook is back to perform for his Pinoy fans. The American Idol Season 7 champ arrived in Manila this morning. It's his second time in the PI as he was here three years ago with his "ka-tukayo" and fellow AI finalist David Archuleta.
This time,one show won't be enough as he performs his hits at the Big Dome tomorrow night, July 14 and at the Waterfront Cebu on Saturday, July 15.
Cook gained popularity during his stint in the reality talent show American Idol with his cover versions of famous pop tunes. He breathed new life into Bon Jovi's "Livin' On A Prayer", Lionel Richie's "Hello" and Mariah Carey's "Always Be My Baby" among others, eventually winning the Idol title back in 2008.
Speaking of American Idol, Cook had nothing but praises for Season 11 runner-up Jessica Sanchez. "I think she's extremely talented and she's got a really good head on her shoulders," he said in an interview with ABS-CBNNews.com
