16-year old Filipino-Mexican sweetheart Jessica Sanchez has long won the world by capturing the hearts of many with her brilliant singing style and over the top performance during the eleventh season the reality television singing competition, American Idol.
Last Sunday, July 29, the BLUJAYS had the chance to talk to their idol through "The Ultimate Jessica Sanchez SKYPE Party!" Fans all over the metro got the opportunity to bond with the American Idol Runner-Up through a LIVE SKYPE SESSION at the SM Megamall Event Center. Fans and friends from the media got to ask Jessica Sanchez personally!
There were fun games, special fan numbers, EXCLUSIVE Jessica Sanchez signed items and a guest performance by Asia's Acoustic Sweetheart SABRINA.
So what does Jessica Sanchez look forward to most in her visit to the Philippines in September?"Seeing all of you guys. That’s the one thing I’m looking forward to. I’m going to like the Philippines because that’s like my heritage, culture and everything. The main thing is seeing all of you guys. I mean you guys are out there, watching me on the computer pretty much. I mean you guys are incredibly proud of everything I’ve done so I just wanna hug every single one of you guys. "
The BLUEJAYS also had the chance to sing "Happy Birthday" to Jessica Sanchez and she was really touched and in awe when the fans surprised her with a Filipino-themed birthday cake.
"I love you guys so much. I cannot wait to see all of you. You guys have been there for me. You guys are still here for me. And I love you guys so much. I can’t wait to be there!" Jessica said adding "Please come and watch. It’s gonna be loads of fun. Usually after the show, I go out and try to meet every single person out there that has come to the show as I’m waiting up. Hopefully, I really get to meet you guys so I’m looking forward to that. Love you guys!"
