Filipino up-and-coming band GRACENOTE joins hands with ABS-CBN Foundation, Inc. in reaching out to the kids in the country's Southern provinces with Project Aral Awit or Project ARAW. It is a three-year music and values education program that aims to promote honesty, self-sufficiency and social-responsibility through the creative use of music videos and the foundation's television program. The band will be entertaining the participating schools and will help inspire the students to get involved in arts and music. This particular tour includes stops at the Quezon National High School in Lucena City and the Moreno Integrated School in Daet. The last school lucky enough to go through this once-in-a-lifetime learning experience tomorrow, September 28, is the Camarines Sur National High School in Naga City.
The ABS-CBN Foundation, Inc. (AFI) is a socio-civic organization of one of Asia's premiere broadcasting companies, ABS-CBN Corporation. Fired by a vision of "creating a better world for childrenö, it is heavily involved in public service campaigns through programs in child welfare, environment protection and educational television. Its flagship project, Educational Television (ETV) introduced television-assisted instruction. ETV pioneered the production of academic-based children's television programs such as SineÆskwela (Science), Bayani (History), Hirayamanawari (Values Education), and Math Tinik (Mathematics).
