Vinci Montaner, back-up vocalist for the pop rock group Parokya Ni Edgar has left the band citing "personal reasons". On their official Facebook fan page, Vinci posted: "Hi! Sorry! I have left the band a couple of weeks back for personal reasons." This would be the second time that Montaner has decided to quit the band. In 2005, he parted ways with his bandmates only to reunite with them two years after.
But there would be no more turning back this time around for Vinci. "I won't be back, like what happened before," he announced. "Continue to support the best band in the world. See you around. Thank you very much for the love for Parokya," he added.
PNE vocalist Chito Miranda immediately confirmed this saying they respect Vinci's decision and that even though they will be parting ways, they will still remain friends. "He has been in this band for 20 years and siguro gusto niya ng ibang trip naman," Miranda said.
Parokya Ni Edgar is considered to be one of, if not THE most sought-after bands in the Phillipines today. Formed in 1993, they are best known for their comic style of songwriting and their pop song parodies.
The band just recently released their 12th studio album "Inuman Sessions Vol.2". Click here for photos from their press conference
