A Russian judge throws out a $10 million lawsuit filed by anti-gay activists against Madonna.
They accused the "Material Girl" of violating a law propagandizing homosexual behavior. During a concert at St. Petersburg. Madonna stripped down to a black lingerie exposing the words "No Fear" written on her back. The pop star was strongly against a local law prohibiting the advocacy for young people to become gay and called it a "ridiculous atrocity".
Homosexuality was once illegal in Russia until it was decriminalized almost two decades ago. But most gay people still would not come out in the open because discrimination and prejudice against them is still rampant.
