Rihanna may have already forgiven Chris Brown for beating her up, but some people are not quite over that particular incident which happened on the eve of the 2009 Grammy Awards.
The American R&B singer was supposed to perform in Guyana in South America, but was forced to cancel the show amidst protests over his violent past.
Women's rights groups and opposition lawyers are demanding that Brown should not be allowed to enter their country after hitting, choking, and even biting Rihanna during an argument three years ago. He pleaded guilty to the charges and has undergone counseling.
The "Umbrella" singer hails from Barbados, a neighbor of Guyana in the Caribbean.
According to concert promoter Hits and Jams Entertainment, Chris Brown backed out from the show which was scheduled on December 26 because he did not feel comfortable with the protests.
