The nominees for the 55th Annual Grammy Awards were announced yesterday, December 5.
FUN., Mumford & Sons, and Frank Ocean are all nominated for Album of the Year for "Some Nights", "Babel", and "Channel Orange" respectively. While FUN.'s "We Are Young", Gotye's "Somebody That I Used To Know" Frank Ocean's "Thinkin Bout You" and Taylor Swift's "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together" are all nominated for Record of the Year.
Aside from Record of the Year, Taylor Swift is also nominated for Best Country Duo/Group Performance and Best Song Written for Visual Media both for "Safe & Sound".
Carly Rae Jepsen's big hit "Call Me Maybe" got the nomination for Song of the Year along with FUN.'s "We Are Young".
Good friends Katy Perry and Rihanna are up against each other for Best Pop Solo Performance for "Wide Awake" and "Where Have You Been" respectively.
Maroon 5 also scored two nominations, Best Pop Vocal Album for "Overexposed" and Best Pop Duo/Group Performance for "Payphone".
Surprisingly, Justin Bieber, who thought that his album "Believe" would be a big leap forward, didn't receive any nominations this year.
The 55th Annual Grammy Awards will be held on Feb. 10 at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.
