Slapshock is one of the most hard-working bands we have in the local scene. Formed in 1997 in the corridors of UP Diliman, they have come a long way since their college rap metal roots.
The year 2012 saw them gigging extensively in and outside Metro Manila. They also released two singles from their 7th studio album "Kinse Kalibre". "Ngayon Na" and "Langit" have done well on the MYX charts and are instant crowd-favorites, as evidenced in their recent MYX Mo! 2012 performance.

We got to ask the members of Slapshock at the MYX Mo! backstage what their goals are for the year 2013.
Chi Evora wants to get rid of a vice. "Siguro ta-try ko na mag-quit smoking," said the drummer.
Lean Ansing seems to be sick of making and breaking his yearly promises. "Hindi na ako mag-nu-new year's resolution," the head gear-wearing guitar player declared.
Jamir Garcia said he's going to be more easy on himself this year. "I'm gonna enjoy some more time siguro doing other things," said the MYX 3on3 Tournament MVP.
Bass player Lee Nadela meanwhile wants to get involved in outdoor activities to improve his physical health.
And with that, we wish Slapshock and their Slap Armies a rocking and rolling 2013!
