The wait is almost over JT fans, he's finally ready.
The pop star-turned-actor-turned-business mogul Justin Timberlake released a video message today teasing his first new music in years, but fans should wait for a couple of more days for more specifics.
In the video, a camera follows the singer as he walks through a recording studio. A voiceover of him discusses why it's been so long between albums. Timberlake's last album "FutureSex/LoveSounds" was released six and a half years ago.
The video closes with Timberlake entering the recording booth, putting headphones and declares, "I'm ready."
On his website, after the video, it is replaced with a countdown clock. Analyzing it, JT's next announcement will be three and a half days away. The time coincides with a tweet from a Power 105.1 radio personality Charlamagne, "Justin, Jay Z Timbaland. New record Monday."
Below is the full text of JT's video message:
"Someone asked me the other day, 'so are you done with music?' It means more to me than anybody else in the world. Look I've only done two albums in ten years - that's the way I really look at it. What does the next decade mean to me. I'm the one that sits and is obsessive about it before you even get to hear it. As close as I get to it, I don't think I can physically torture myself that much, year in and year out, and expect it to fulfill me the way that it does and the way that it is right now. I don't wanna put anything out that I don't love. You just get that every day. You have to wait for it."
