One of the biggest Japanese acts and top AVEX star Namie Amuro set the stage on fire with an explosive 20th anniversary concert at the Taipei Arena last February 23 and 24, 2013! MYX was there to witness history unfold as 20 thousand fans came out to see her perform her biggest hits through the years.
Namie Amuro lovers in Taiwan also got a rare opportunity to listen to her new song, "Big Boys Cry", which she performed live for the first time at the show. Of course, it was a showcase of all her early songs, big hits, glamorous outfits and energetic dance moves. And for the benefit of her non-Japanese fans, Namie performed "Go Round" and "YEAH-OH" in English. Plus, the stage was designed to be closer to the audience so Namie had a chance to interact with the fans and thank them for supporting her all these years.
Huge LED screens took everyone back in time showing clips from one of her biggest shows in Tokyo Dome from 15 years ago, including her photos and videos from her debut to now. And everyone can definitely say, she hasn't aged a bit! She can still sing and dance like she was just starting out!
The Taiwan show is just a part of her 5 huge concerts for the Namie Amuro Asia Tour 2013. She started at the Fukuoka Yahoo! Dome last November 2013 with 5 more venues and 8 concert dates in Japan. Around 340 thousand fans came out to see the show that made her the first Japanese solo female artist who had shows at the most number of venues with the most number of audiences.
