The bassist of American rock band 3 Doors Down has been charged with vehicular homicide after a fatal car collision Friday in Tennessee, USA.
Todd Harrell, bass player for 3 Doors Down, was driving his car way too fast on Interstate 40 and clipped a pick up truck and sent it down on an embankment. The driver identified as Paul Howard Shoulders, Jr. was ejected from his truck and died.
The Metropolitan Nashville Police Department said Harrell failed his field sobreity test and was intoxicated. They said he also admitted taking prescription drugs Lortab and Xanax aside from drinking hard cider.
3 Doors Down was formed in the mid-90s and came to fame with their songs "Kryptonite", "Here Without You" and "Be Like That".
"We are deeply saddened by the passing of Paul Howard Shoulders, Jr. Our hearts and prayers go out to his family and friends at this difficult time
," said a message posted on their official website
