The very catchy tune from Thyro Alfaro and Yumi Lacsamana won this year's Philippine Popular Music Festival!
"Dati," interpreted by Tippy Dos Santos, Quest and MYX VJ Sam Concepcion, bested 11 other finalists of the songwriting competition.
It was a night of celebration for OPM as we were able to witness a new breed of Filipino songwriters beginning to emerge in the music industry.
The second runner-up prize went to Jungee Marcelo's "Pansamantagal" interpreted by Julianne and Sitti.
First runner-up award, meanwhile was given to Johnoy Danao's "Kung 'Di Man" interpreted by Ney Dimaculangan, who also won the People's Choice Award.
Grand winners Thyro Alfaro and Yumi Lacsamana, together with their interpreters Sam Concepcion, Tippy Dos Santos and Quest, struck their so-called "victory pose" to the MYXph.com camera.
Thyro and Yumi are bringing home 1 million pesos and the very prestigious trophy from glass sculptor Ramon Orlina.
