Marion Aunor, who placed third in this year's "Himig Handog P-Pop Love Songs" with her original composition titled "If You Ever Change Your Mind," is now ready to take flight in the OPM industry with the release of her self-titled debut album!
Released by Star Records, Aunor's debut album is composed of 12 songs including "Fallen," "Do Do Do," "I Don't Know (If I Should Stay Or I Should Go)," and "If You Ever Change Your Mind," to name a few.
"It's really tough to rise above the competition because so many other talented artists come out with their great albums that are launched almost at the same time. Pero sa palagay ko, laging may 'room for new music' dahil palaging naghahanap ang tao sa bago, kakaiba at innovative," said the 21-year-old singer/songwriter.
According to Marion, she writes her own songs and makes sure that she puts her own take on her revivals. Also included in the album are her revivals of Pink and Nate Ruess' smash hit "Just Give Me A Reason," "Don't Give Up On Us," "The First Time I Loved Forever," and "Someone's Always Saying Goodbye."
"I'm very grateful that I was given the freedom to include my original compositions in my album and I was given a say in terms of the cover songs' arrangement... Sa album na ito, may kantang swak para sa lahat, anumang age, and hopefully, anumang nationality," sabi pa niya.
Marion Aunor's self-titled debut album is now available at all leading record bars nationwide.
