Archers Force Game 3, Beating The Tigers 77-70

The Green Archers gave the whole La Salle crown a sigh of relief by forcing a Game 3 against the Growling Tigers, finishing Game 2 77-70.

Intensity, aggression and height domination were the things that helped La Salle frustrate UST getting the UAAP Season 76 championship title.

With 16 points, 10 rebounds and 3 blocks, La Salle's Norbert Torres was the most dominant big man. He was helped by his teammates offensively -- with Jeron Teng scoring 19, Arnold Van Opstal with 13, Almond Vosotros with 11, LA Revilla with 9, Jason Perkins with 7, and Thomas Torres with 2.

On the other hand, UST's Kevin Ferrer was held to just 6 points, as compared to his 20 last game. Abdul ended the drought for UST for a while but the offensive inputs of Vosotros and Torres put the Archers at a safe lead.

Clark Bautista's 3-point shot pulled UST within a point deficit (43-44) but La Salle's offense was still strong. At the end, the Archers wrapped the game up with a 7-point lead.

Game 3 will be next Saturday, October 12, at the Mall of Asia Arena.
