MARKKI STROEM For "Carrie the Musical": "It was weird for me"

"Carrie the Musical" has had it's last show! Were you able to catch this spooky theatrical performance?

MYXPH got the chance to speak to today's sexy jazz artist Markki Stroem, and ask him about his "Carrie" experience.

"I enjoyed the movie and i love horror," said Markki. He started going on about how much of a fan he is of the film and the characters. For him it was an interesting feat to star in the musical play here in the Philippines, and have the American screenwriter Lawrence D. Cohen himself watch him play the role Tommy Ross.

Instead of playing the stereotypical jock, Marrki said that he added a certain humor to his portrayal. "I'm the misunderstood jock," said Markki when we asked him to describe his character. "Tommy ended up comedic, which was really funny. When I watched it in the musical, he wasn't a stand up guy! It was weird for me" Markki went on.
