Sad news for Matchbox Twenty fans in Manila.
The band has decided to cancel their show at the Mall of Asia Arena scheduled tomorrow, November 8, due to super typhoon Yolanda.
Local concert promoter Music Management International or MMI delivered the announcement through an email forwarded to MYXph.
"Due to the threat of Super Typhoon Yolanda, the management of Matchbox 20 has decided to cancel their scheduled show at the Mall of Asia Arena on Friday, November 8. The band is very disappointed not to appear, but weather conditions have made their travel to Manila no longer feasible," said Project Manager Anne Remulla.
Tickets to the show may be refunded by calling SM Tickets at +632 470 2222 or by proceeding to the outlets where your tickets were purchased.
Matchbox Twenty is currently composed of Rob Thomas, Paul Doucette, Kyle Cook, Brian Yale, and Stacy Jones.
The Grammy-nominated band is behind the hits "Push", "Bent" and "If You're Gone", among others.
Their 1996 debut album "Yourself Or Someone Like You" reached Diamond status. They are now on tour to promote their latest record called "North".
