We are on to the 12th month of 2013! In just a few days, we'll be bidding the year farewell and waving 2014 hello. We at MYXPH want to look back at the highlights of the year, those big music moments that truly made 2013 memorable. And what could be more memorable than the many artists who rose from their slumber in the music industry and went back out again with guns blazing. We're talking about the comeback kids who made their way back into the scene after their long hiatus. Can you name a few? We at MYXPH sure can!
To start off the list, we have Fall Out Boy. Remember in the year 2009 when word spread about the band's last show? Rumors of disbanding went around and eventually came to life. For 4 years the band had been out of the loop. Their last album was "Folie a Deux". They had songs such as "I Don't Care" and "American Suitehearts". It was a long time ago and yet they were able to comeback this year for their 'Save Rock and Roll' album.
Next up is the one and only artist who brought "Sexy Back." His last album was 7 years ago, imagine that? "FutureSex/LoveSounds" came out last 2006 with big hits such as "My Love", "What Goes Around...Comes Around", and "Until the End of Time". After his long break, he came out with "The 20/20 Experience" last March 15, 2013, which was definitely something that fans were happy about. He also recently released "The 20/20 Experience - 2 of 2" last September 27.
Daft Punk is also another surprising comeback act this year! The French duo had their last album last 2005, titled "Human After All." Eight years later, "Random Access Memories" came to life, giving us the last song syndrome track "Get Lucky."
