U2's new album

Adam, Larry, The Edge and Bono must have spent their 5 years with only one goal in mind: Evolution. After winning 22 Grammy Awards, being inducted into the prestigious Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame, being named as one of the Greatest Artists of All Time, and putting their music and success into good use by doing works of philanthropy, U2 is far from being complacent on where they are now.

With strict compliance to measures of security to avoid leaks and unauthorized previews, it was all worth the wait and suspense.

U2 shoots off their upcoming album, No Line on the Horizon with a track that may surprise those with pre-empted expectations. The rest of the world premiers the first single of U2, Get On Your Boots! It is the 6th song off the new album, playing the role of the perfect middleman to bring on a justified peak into the series of tracks that move from being suavely texturized to being a series of full-blown, beat û worthy anthems.

Get On Your Boots opens with a guitar riff thatÆs a perfect fit to a Bono û toned uno, dos, tres, katorse countdown. In an interview with Rolling Stone, Edge recalls, ôàblazing, fuzzed-out rocker picks up where "Vertigo" left off. It started just with me playing and Larry drumminàö Bono manages to bring an interesting twist with his rhymes, finding a common denominator with gasoline and submarine. The feeling you get when listening to the track for the first time, anticipation. YouÆll never know what youÆll hear next. It is not your typical back to basics kind of song where you can determine where parts of the song come in.

The song was produced by three of the biggest names in the music scene, namely Brian Eno, popularly known as the father of ambient music, Danny Lanois and Steve Lillywhite, all of them with a long list of credit mentions from other musical legends like David Bowie, The Rolling Stones and Abba.

Sessions for No Line on the Horizon began in Fez, Morocco, and continued at the bandÆs Dublin studio, New YorkÆs Platinum Sound Recording Studios, and Olympic Studios in London. The album is scheduled to be released in the Philippines this March with multiple formats to suit every U2 demand. The cover artwork for the album is an image of the sea meeting the sky by Japanese artist and photographer Hiroshi Sugimoto.
