Half-Pinoy Composer ROBERT LOPEZ Wins An Oscar for "Let It Go!"

Half-Pinoy composer Robert Lopez and wife Kristen Anderson-Lopez made us all proud by braving the global spotlight and bagging an Oscar award for "Let It Go" from the hit Disney animated movie, "Frozen."

The Lopezes said their thank-you's upon receiving their award by going through a list of names with a charming and rhyming speech, and pausing at one point to sing "Happy Oscars to you, Let's do Frozen 2." This is something we should all watch out for!

Lopez is the very first Filipino-American to win an Oscar. This is according to the Hollywood-based Filipino journalist Ruben V. Nepales.

And with this distinction, Lopez became the latest member of the EGOT family, adding this Oscar to his three Tony's, two Emmy's and a Grammy. He is the 12th person in history to ever receive this four awards!

Disney's "Frozen" also walked home with the Best Animated Feature Film, and it may seem surprising but this is also their first time to ever receive such an honor!

Idina Menzel also performed an astounding performance of "Let It Go" that night which rounded out an amazing line-up of Best Original Song performances throughout the evening. And just in case you haven't seen it, you can watch it here!
