Filipino-American singer-songwriter, record producer, musician, choreographer and pop music's newest golden boy Bruno Mars is back in Manila -- not only to fulfill his promise to perform again in a concert for his kababayans, but also to personally hand over his donation of one hundred thousand US dollars ($100,000) to the kids of Bantay Bata who were among the victims of Typhoon Yolanda.
Since his visit three years ago where he bonded and sang along with the children of Bantay Bata, the Grammy winner committed himself to be an inspiration for the kids. And now he has proven it by donating funds which will be utilized to bring back the esteem and morale of the orphans who lost their families and homes in the said typhoon.
The intimate event was hosted by our very own VJ Iya Villania-Arellano.
Poreotics, an Asian-American all-male dance crew who was crowned America's Best Dance Crew Season 5 champion, welcomed the members of the press with a show-stopping performance of Bruno Mars's "The Lazy Song", which was followed by a showcase of their popping, choreography and robotics skills.
In the same event, Bruno was also recognized for the success of his albums: Doo-Wops & Hooligans, which was two times Diamond certified; and Unorthodox Jukebox which, on the other hand, was two times Platinum certified.
You can catch the Grammy winner, Filipino pride Bruno Mars onstage as he performs again for his kababayans tomorrow, March 22, at the MOA Arena for The Moonshine Jungle Tour! It is definitely one show that his fans are going to treasure -- just like how his "treasure" for the children of Bantay Bata is cherished and appreciated!
